happy to say i finally found employment! it took a while but i’m now teaching in a foundation year program on the university college dublin campus. i’ve only been here a few (busy) months but i’m pleased with the freedom i’ve been given in developing the curriculum for the science & engineering courses.
in addition to the basics (maths / physics) i’ve been teaching a data analysis course and an introduction to research course, and it seems both i and my students are having fun. it’s a good experience and i’m learning quite a bit about teaching methods, which will certainly be valuable later as i do plan to pursue an academic route.
